Re-thinking the photo booth format, Summer Snapshot captures visitor experiences, connects people online, and creates a growing pool of images showing the breadth of experiences at Southbank Centre.
Visitors along the River Thames in London were invited to contribute to a sumer-long photo journal. Participants wrote a word to sum up the day, pressed a button and captured the moment. Photos were uploaded online to create a collective journal of summer moments. In the booth visitors slid a brochure through a time stamping machine to stamp the exact date and time of their photo to find it again online. This generated over 250 daily photos and a 5,000 visitor increase in web visits per day.
